Health & Safety at Work Act 2015

18th January 2016

That 4th April is getting closer and so it is becoming vital that your Health & Safety system is up and running.

There is still a lot of unknowns surrounding the functionality of the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015 especially around the associated Regulations most of whom are still draft form. The draft Regulation on Infringement Offences and Fees start with an instant $500 fine for not wearing the appropriate PPE going up to $12,000 for failing to establish a Health & Safety Committee.

We still don't know how the existing H&S Representatives are to be retrained or the requirements for the new H&S Reps training. We are also still waiting for the details on how the Risk Assessments are to be done and there is less than 3 months left!!

Do not forget that everyone’s ultimate goal is to keep themselves and those around them safe.

If you have any questions around the appropriate clothing to wear on site, please get in touch with one of our trained consultants to establish your needs. As always we have a solution that not only complies, but is so innovative that your staff will happily adopt!
