History

We've grown from a small family business to a market leader.

Beginning in 1976 from a small family business retailing workwear and footwear, the Directors established the wholesale division in 1985. Both divisions continued to grow and develop before the retail division was eventually sold off the in the early 2000’s.

Argyle Performance Workwear is still proudly a privately-owned and operated New Zealand company, and has grown and developed into a leading supplier of safety workwear and footwear to Specialist Independent Safety Resellers. With over 40 years industry experience, we have used this experience and knowledge to develop leading brands and products which have set a benchmark in safety, innovation, endurance and wearability.

Our head office is located in Taranaki, the energy hub of New Zealand, and we supply our New Zealand designed products to customers through our network of resellers across New Zealand and Australia.

Argyle has grown significantly in the last 10 years, and our range now also includes a large range of Footwear and designer styled workwear, rainwear and apparel. Argyle invest heavily in their team, and that brings tremendous dedication to our business along with a passion to strive for excellence for our clients and products. Argyle achieved certification of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 in December 2012, aligning ourselves with internationally recognised standards and implementing a quality system, to ensure that customers’ satisfaction and quality of products are always considered first.
